Beers with bloggers

What kind of bars close at nine o'clock? Bars in Tempe. Pete, Nic and I made the trip to Tempe to meet Deadspin's Will Leitch, who was signing his John Hancock on his recently released book, "God Save the Fan." You remember books, right? Those things your parents read? Way back in the day, before blogs even. We grabbed a few beers afterward. With Leather's Matt Ufford was there, and so was Dan Steinberg from D.C. Sports Bog. The list goes on: Chris Mottram and, uh, I guess that's the end of the list. A couple of other guys were there, too, but honestly I don't know exactly who they all were (sorry). I do know that one of 'em worked at a brewery, and we drank a few pitchers of his brewery's beer. So that was cool.     My guess is that he was at the bookstore next door, either looking for Will's book or getting hyphy in the non-fiction aisle. Probably both. There is also a chance he was at home working on his autobiography, "Beast Mode: My Grill is Better than Yours."
