Yardbarker Update
Hello Yardbarkers! As you already know, there is a lot of good stuff going on in the Yard. The buzz around Yardbarker can be heard in all corners of the sports world and the strength of the site starts right here, with the community that hangs out in the Yard on a daily basis. Take a bow! All of you have had a large role in the site's success thus far.
There have been a number of changes to the site since we last wrote. Let's start with the all-star roster of athlete bloggers that have joined forces with Yardbarker. The pioneers were Titans RB Chris Henry and All Star pitcher John Lackey. It wasn't long after that we landed the #1 and #4 picks in the 2007 NBA draft, Greg Oden and Michael Conley Jr. IBF Featherweight Champion Robert "The Ghost" Guerrero is the latest athlete to start blogging, but certainly not the last. One of the most talented players in the NFL will join us tomorrow?but we are going to keep that one a surprise for now.
We're also rolling out new features on a regular basis. Have you seen the Related Sites module on every sport and team page of the website? It's broken up into two sections. The upper half gives props to the best of the sports blogosphere, those who have joined the Yardbarker Blogger Network. Yardbarker was built by these bloggers, so make sure to check out their sites! We also include links to non-network destinations so that you can continue to find great content from around the web. If you know of a great site that deserves a place on this list, recommend it!
And finally, some of you may have noticed that there have been a few bad apples posting inappropriate content in article comments. We welcome intelligent debate, but we take inappropriate content very seriously. These comments have been deleted and we are taking actions to prevent this behavior from happening again. Until then, we are relying on the good guys to contact us regarding any further offenses by using the feedback link at the top right.
Yardbarker is the place to be right now. We are building a home for the two most important groups of people in sports to interact ? The Athletes and the Fans. Thanks again for hanging out in the Yard and keep the feedback coming!
